HI FAMILY and FRIENDS!!!!!! <3

How are you this week??? :) Hope everything is going well!!!! I have been praying for you all a lot this week! WOW! This week has been CRAZY!!!! It took me a while to recover from being sick! I had this problem where I just didn't want to take time to recover! So it was a bit of a long week at the beginning! BUT! On Thursday things were great!!!!! And the week picked up from there! We have this AMAZING new investigator…

*Thank you previous Elder Loke*

His name is S. and he is literally the coolest! He has such a great perspective on life! And really wants to find "lasting happiness"! We were able to testify to him that he will find that here! :) It was neat as he shared experiences of times he felt the spirit with his friend who was a member of this church! He didn't know that it was the spirit he was feeling! BUT! We were able to teach him how to pray, and how he can receive an answer for himself! It ROCKED!

We have some CRAZY things going on with our invest. One of our families was kicked out of their living place and forced to find a new place to live! They hardly had any money and it was a miracle they found a place!!!!! It’s been crazy this week trying to help them in any way that we could! It was a little frustrating! BUT! Luckily my companion is a BOSS! We were able to help the best that we could! Ultimately we know that the Lord loves them and will take care of them! They know that as well! And have such great faith! :) A. and K. are doing really well! They are just amazing! They have such great questions that are really helping them to lead to that lasting conversion! I’m so excited for them! OH MY GOODNESS!!!!! MIRACLE!!!! So F. our invest. from the Philippines! We haven't seen her for SOOOOO Long! She came to church this last week! We taught her! And she CRIED in the lesson! And told us how badly she wanted to be baptized!!!!! <3 Sister Hillier and I were just dying during the lesson! I couldn't hold my tears back! This woman is such an amazing example of great faith... humility... and love! She told us that many of the things she believed when she was young are in our church! People had told her that she was wrong! It’s just AMAZING! These beautiful people who have such simple testimonies are such a light!!!! It’s the best!!!! We have such amazing investigators! Who are progressing so well! We feel so blessed to just see miracles EVERYDAY!!!!! We actually had a lady from the Philippines who is going to university right now call us! She told us that she really loved the Mormon teachings and wanted to meet up and learn! :) WOW!!!! That just made our day!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <3 this is the Lords work... it is a work of miracles!!!!

At zone conference this week we are talking about what we are doing to increase our faith so we can qualify for miracles!!! I know that I have a LONGGGG way to go! BUT! I know that if you set your sights toward Jesus Christ! ALL things will be possible for you! I am so grateful for the knowledge that the gospel gives us! Of who we can BECOME! I had such a neat experience the other day... we had just had a very, very difficult day. We came home and things just seemed to go wrong left and right! I was so frustrated that I just decided to pray... I locked myself in a room and prayed for a long time! I told my Heavenly Father everything that was going on... and asked him why he had forsaken me! I got an answer that is hard for me to ever forget! I realized he has NEVER and will NEVER forsake me! I have been so selfish in my life thinking solely of me! It’s not about me! This is about HIS work and HIS glory! This is about HIS children! I’m so grateful for the atonement and how it allows us to CHANGE if we let it! This gospel is true! Jesus IS the Christ!

I love you all soooo much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HI FAMILY!!!!

How are you??? :) WOW! This week was like a blur! Went by so fast!!! First off... we have a sister in our ward... Sister L. who follows us to several of our lessons and helps us so much! So we heart attacked her with the Elders this week! It was the best! Teaching elders how to heart attack is one of my fav. things! They just never really know what to do with themselves! But! It was really cool to see how much that meant to her! Showing our love in such a small way really touched her heart! :) We have decided to work with our Elders in really striving to serve our branch members and helping them understand we love them! We are really excited to see how it works! :) Our investigators S. and T. are on date!!!!! October 18!!!!! :) They are really amazing! And have such strong desires to be a part of this church and to come closer to Christ! They are just eager to learn more and more! :) M, who is an awesome member/RC in our branch! She is the BEST!!!! She follows us to many lessons and treats us so well!!!! :) We had an amazing meeting with her on Wednesday before we left for MLC, and we just were able to help her understand what it means to be a daughter of God. There is so much comfort given in the fact that is who we are! We are children of a LOVING heavenly Father! He knows us and is willing to help us! She is the best! And such a strong person! We love her!

We flew to Singapore that night for MLC where we had the special guests of Elder Funk (quorum of the 70) and Elder Allen (supervisor of missionary work). They gave us training at MLC and it was AMAZING!!!!!!! I have never in my life felt so humbled and spiritually uplifted at the same time!!! Elder Funk wrote on the board in the high council room (where we usually have MLC) "the Singapore mission is..." and we had to list several things! SO! We started to list many things that we strive to be as part of our Singapore Mission Vision... Elder Allen took over and helped us see that this is where we WANT to be... then he helped us see the reality of where we are now.... as we hit the reality of where we are as a mission, Elder Allen than gave us a training on many different things we can do as leaders to help us individually... And to help our missionaries as well! It was really cool!!! He emphasized a lot on watching "the district" videos and really studying those! So as a household we have been watching a lot more of those! :) It’s been really good! Something I really took from this training was understanding people... if you understand someone, you will love them! You will have compassion and charity for them! Because charity is something I am really striving to focus on, I felt this is something I could really work on! Trying to understand people more! It was just amazing! He really touched on going back to the basics of what we have! We have been given the tools to be successful in this work! We just have to USE them!!!! :)

We got back to KL and went on exchanges with the Sisters in KL branch! I went with Sister B. from Germany! I love her! She is the cutest!!! We had a really good day! Met with a family from Pakistan! They are soooo sweet! And met with one of their LA and her daughter who is an invest. And they were the sweetest! This little girl who was ten was such a sweetheart! She has such a love for the gospel! And was so intelligent! We asked her how God has blessed her for keeping his commandments and she told us how much he has blessed her, and how she wants to be a good girl! It was adorable!!! The exchange was awesome! :)

That night I got really, really sick! And wasn't able to go to church; I was really upset about that! BUT! We had several invest. come to church! A. and K. are progressing SOOO well! They are just doing AMAZING! I’m so happy for them! J. is doing well also! She has been traveling around a lot! But looked for the church where she was traveling! So! We have just been so blessed! We are meeting with a potential invest. tomorrow! And have many plans to find new investigators this week! SO! Things are going very, very well!!!! I’m really excited to just keep on keeping on!!!!!

I love you so much family!!!!!! I pray for you always!!!!! Keep on keeping on!!!

Love,

Hi FAMILY!!!! <3

How are you?? Sorry I’m emailing soooo late! An amazing member in our branch, brother R. had his mom in the hospital for months and she just passed away! The funeral was today so we decided to go; she was over 90 so it was a blessing she wasn't suffering anymore! BUT! I am so grateful for the knowledge that our families can be together forever! There was so much heart ache at the funeral. It was a very interesting traditional Hindu funeral, and I have lots of pictures to send you next week! There was a lot of symbolic acts with flowers and fire with lots of chants and prayers. It was really cool! The family is still in mourning, so if you could keep them in your prayers that would be great! :)

I don’t have a lot of time! But for p-day today we also went with our YSA branch members to the city farm where we got to pet all kinds of animals!!! It was SOOO cool!!!! :) I loved it!!!!! Coolest animals I pet was a deer and a skunk! Also lots of reptiles!!! hahaha anyway! This week was FULL of miracles!!! We had an AMAZING lesson with our investigator J! She is just progressing so much! And LOVING the book of Mormon! We talked about the commandments and she has really been able to see how the commandments are there as a way for us to exercise our faith and receive blessings! It’s amazing how she is growing! WE love hearing her bare her testimony to us every week! Our other investigator A. is doing AWESOME!!! She and her husband K. have been coming to church every week and we had an amazing lesson where K. really was interested!!!!! We decided to focus on him and center it really on God, our Loving Heavenly Father and he asked a question about a Heavenly Mother which started the lesson out a little roughly, but!!!! We ended up turning it around and HE PRAYED IN THE END!!! It was so amazing! I couldn't even get over his desire to know if God is really there! We are really excited to be working with this wonderful family!!! WE LOVE THEM!!!

We went to Penang for exchanges and I was able to go with Sister Alfrey (my child!!!) and it was the BEST!!! She is such a hard worker and an AMAZING missionary! I absolutely LOVE her so, so much! She talked to me a lot about the WHY of being on a mission and it really made me think about mine... I was able to see how much she has changed and grown! I love her so much, she is the BEST!!!! we taught this AMAZING family while we were there; the dads name is K, with a wife and 2 kids from Pakistan. They are Christian and were being persecuted where they lived, so they came to Malaysia. They don’t have a lot... but they do have FAITH! A LOT of it! And they love the gospel! They love Jesus Christ and it's such a light to me to see what it really means to STAND for CHRIST!!! LIFE IS AMAZING!!!!!!

I love you guys so much! I am sorry I don’t have a lot of time, but I’ll write more next week! I know that Jesus Is the Christ! I know that he suffered the Atonement for us and that through him ALL things are possible, and we can BECOME like him!!!

I LOVE You!!!!!!

August 25, 2014

HI FAMILY!!!! Also friends <3

How is everyone?! :) I hope you are all doing well!!!! This has been one of the fastest weeks of my life!!!! I blinked and it was Monday again! APA HAL! So strange! :) But it was an AMAZING week to say the least!!! On Monday we met with a Former Investigator who Sis. Hillier hadn't seen for a very long time; they have a very difficult situation that kept them from coming to church. But they decided to start learning form the missionaries again. They’re a couple from the Philippines and are the sweetest! He is actually a member, and served a mission in the Philippines, and she is an investigator! We are really excited to keep meeting with them! She told us that she misses the feelings she had when she was meeting with the missionaries and coming to church! We absolutely love them!!! :)

We had a ROCKIN zone meeting about Charity, which is what I needed to hear about! I have been so caught up in trying to worry about the logistics of things here in Malaysia, that I have forgotten my main source of where ALL things need to come from... And that is CHARITY "the pure love of Christ" and I have really made it a goal for the rest of my mission to LOVE LIKE CRAZY! We have been really trying to express our love to branch members, invest, LA, and others by serving them! We have done some heart attacking and the members have LOVED it!!! I have officially brought heart attacking to Malaysia! I hope they are ready ;)

We had the most spiritual lesson I have ever had my whole mission!!!! With J, she had such a neat experience with the Book of Mormon! She read in Alma 32, and in vs. 41 specifically she told us that God had spoken to her through this vs! And she testified to us that the Book of Mormon was truly another testament of Jesus Christ! The spirit was so strong that we were ALL crying! We were just able to testify that God does answer prayers! Maybe not in our time, but in his time; he always DOES! Often it's through the scriptures; they are his words to us! It's how he speaks to us! And I am so grateful for the example of our investigator to show me how special the Book of Mormon is! It was such an amazing experience to just talk with her! I can't remember the half of what was said, but I do remember the love that I felt God had for his daughter in that moment! It's amazing that she had this experience, because she had been struggling to read the book of Mormon, and she just clicked with it!!! God's timing is always just perfect! I think the most difficult thing is we get caught up in wanting it to go OUR way and in OUR time... that we forget it's not about OUR way... this is the LORDS work, it is HIS way... and HIS timing.... we must remember that!

Our investigators are doing SOOO well!!!! J, N, A, S, T, A! We see miracles with their progression and are meeting prepared people all the time!!!! :) We haven't heard from F. for a while so we are a little worried about her; if you could keep her in your prayers we would really appreciate that! :) Coolest ever!!!! The previous Elder L... now (Brother K W L) gave us a referral!!! He is one of his lifelong friends who lives in PJ area, and Elder L is from Ipoh... He calls us up and explained how he invited him to his homecoming! So his friend went to his homecoming and asked how his family was so happy! Now because of this, his friend wants to meet with us and learn about the Gospel! It was really cool to talk with him on the phone and just be able to testify that this gospel can change his life and will bring him happiness!

WOW!!!!!!! #MIRACLES!!!!!!

Also this week we went to Ipoh on exchanges! CAN’T EVEN TELL YOU HOW MUCH I LOVE THOSE PEOPLE!!!! hahah seriously! All the sisters were obsessed with the bun on top of my head, so we had a lesson on "How to create the Waldy Bun" it was pretty priceless!!! I sent a picture of Sister C. and S! :) I was able to go on exchanges with Sister C, she is the cutest! She is from Portland Oregon and she is the best! Her and Sister K. white washed Ipoh and they are ROCKIN It!!!! :) It was a blast to go out and work with them; we worked so closely with the members!!! THAT’S THE WAY TO DO IT!!!!!!!!!! And it's a blast!!!!!!! :)
MEMBERS WORK WITH THE MISSIONARIES!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT’S SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!! <3 really though :) it is!

This week was just super awesome!!!! We had a District talent show... And there was Ballroom dancing!!! Pretty much just wanted to get up there and dance with them! It was fun! We brought our investigators and they LOVED it!!!! I seriously love KL! It’s amazing! I'm grateful that Sister H. and I are focusing on "Walking with Christ" this transfer... we really want the sisters to understand that as Christ taught his disciples for the time when he would not be with them.... Christ is teaching us for 18 months to prepare us for the rest of our lives! And as we walk with him, we will see MIRALCES!!!! I'm so grateful for Christ’s atonement... I am imperfect and I’m sure it's frustrating for him to let me do his work. BUT! I know that with his atonement I can change… I can become better and ALL things are possible because of this! And that is what we share! Because of Christ we can become... <3

I love you so much family!!!! Keep on keeping on!!!!

HI FAMILY!!!! <3

How are you all??? Things are going AMAZING here in Malaysia, PJ branch! I absolutely LOVE it here! This week has been the BEST! We had an AWESOME dinner with the YSA on Monday night! They are the best! We had Sting Ray, Fish, rice, and yummy different pancakes and stuff! It was so good! Tuesday we met with R, a girl from Utah who is doing an internship here in Malaysia! She went home on Thursday, so we invited her to come to a lesson with us! The lesson ended up cancelling :( but it was really cool to talk with R. about what missions mean to us and how we really walk with the Savior for this year and a half! And how much we have grown, and are being prepared for our future! It was such a spiritually uplifting conversation! Things all work out for a reason! :) We had a lesson with our investigator N! FINALLY I got to meet her!!!! <3 she is from the Philippines, and we talked to her about the Plan of Salvation! She is the SWEETEST person I have ever met!!! I love her so much! She just really opened up to us and it was amazing to see how even though the language barrier is big between us, she still felt the spirit so strongly!
Later in the evening we met with the H. family! They are the BEST! And they were just living in Sacramento actually! So cool! They were so nice to us! We shared a message about having a Christ centered home and read a scripture from 2 Nephi 25:26, it's been nice to get to know the Branch members! It was really weird because I ate with a fork and knife (instead of a fork and spoon) and they lived in a really nice apartment! They are an amazing family! We have been visiting more of the families in our branch, to try and get to know them! It's been amazing to feel more unity as we have tried to bring them cookies and just spend time getting to know them and inviting them to work with us! M&M's (members + missionaries = MIRACLES) As we were doing our weekly planning , Sister Hillier and I decided that we needed to spend more time with the LA in our Branch! SO! We called up a few and one sister in particular stood out to us, so we gave her a call! She said sisters can I meet you tonight for dinner?? So we met with her. She really opened up to us and said that she felt like not going to church and didn't want to go less active, and asked for our help! It was one of the most amazing experiences on my mission! The faith that this sister had was amazing! She knew that God would help her if she just Asked... "Ask and ye shall receive." We are going to be meeting with her and helping her to come to church! She is an amazing sister!
On Saturday we went to lunch (Korean BBQ, SO NICE) with a RC M. L. she is the sweetest! And we taught A! With her Husband KL! It was sooooo cool! He is Buddhist so his background on Jesus Christ was not a lot, so it was a bit of a struggle trying to teach them both, but the spirit was there and he came to church again! They are just booming with their progression! I’m sooo excited for them! We talked about temples, and they said they are coming to the USA next May and want to see the temple! I was like ummm! I’ll meet you there! hahah :) it was amazing!
We had a HUGE MIRACLE happen yesterday!!! It was soooo amazing! We had investigators who were in need! They hadn't eaten for 2 days, and had no money! They couldn't even make it to church, so we went to visit them afterward! They had really heart breaking circumstances and absolutely nothing! But! They had so much faith in their savior Jesus Christ. It amazed me how strong they are! We testified to them that God was aware of them, and he loved them so much! What amazed me was when they testified to us that they knew God was aware of them and he was blessing them! After we left, we called our Relief Society President to see if she could help us with this situation. She told us to come to her house and she was going to give us some food to take to her. We show up at this sister’s home and she has at least 10 bags of groceries for our investigators. We pile it up with Elder Egbert and Holmes, and when we entered into the home of our investigators they were overcome with tears of joy and gratitude. And I just couldn't help but cry myself at seeing Gods hand so powerfully in this family’s life! They were so touched; and we are so grateful for an AMAZING branch and such prepared investigators! Miracles happen all the time! :)

I can't even tell you how CRAZY this week has been! We have been running around like MAD MEN! But! We have been working really hard and seeing so many miracles!!! This really is the Work of our Savior! We walk with him always.... as I was studying today I read about Christ telling the 5,000 that he was the "bread of life" …I testify that that is true! Whoever comes unto him shall never hunger! or thirst! If we make him our focus and have faith in him, we will be able to one day return to him... and one day become like him! I love you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep on keeping on!!!!!!

Hi FAMILY!!!! <3

How are you?? I hope you are all ROCKIN!!!!! This past week has been CRAZY and FULL OF MIRACLES!!!!! <3 we are also really, really tired! It’s TRANSFER DAY!!!!! I’m staying in PJ with Sister Hillier! WHOOT!!! :) This week was AMAZING! We went on exchanges with the KL sisters and I fully love Sister Parcel! She pretty much rocks!!! We Heart attacked, visited some less actives, investigators, and just had an amazing day! She is such a good missionary who has such zeal for the work! It’s infectious! It was a blast being with her! We went to the Batu Caves (I got to see it! looks super cool!!!) and we taught English class near the caves! It was really fun! These women are the cutest! It’s a group of like 15-20 women who don’t speak a lot of English so we teach them really simple phrases and the alphabet! It’s really cool!!! :) I loved them so much! It was a little nerve racking, because I had no idea what to do at first! BUT! It ended up going really well! We even taught them head shoulders knees and toes :) When Sister Hillier was on exchanges she stayed in our area and went to visit J. who is AMAZING! she has just taken so well to reading the Book of Mormon, and sent us an SMS the other day explaining that she had received an answer to her prayers this last week through the Book of Mormon! She has been reading so much since! Asking for more scriptures to read! It's an absolute miracle! <3 this week we also MLC! In SINGAPORE!!!! It was really weird to be back in Singapore! It was a very short visit, but it was good to be there again! MLC

was so amazing! I always feel really inspired after I attend! I really could feel the spirit! President Mains talked to us a lot about the commitments that were extended at Zone Conference, and wanted to see how everyone in the mission was repenting! It was really neat to hear about the miracles, change, and improvement of the missionaries and the mission as a whole! We are all going in an awesome direction! It was a really good opportunity to evaluate myself, and see what I can do better! I have decided to really study repentance more in depth and truly study the doctrine and apply it to myself so that I can have the "mighty change of heart" Like it talks about in Mosiah! Anyway! Singapore was AMAZNG! So sad that I had to say goodbye to Sister Hawea! The first sister I ever lived with! I can't believe she is leaving! Time goes by wayyy too fast! She rocks!!! <3
When we got back on Friday I was so tired! I thought I might literally die! (We all know how

dramatic I can be at times) haha we had to wake up really, really early to be at the airport on time for our flight! So! We took a quick nap, and got back to work! We got to visit with A. and talked to her about Baptism in the Gospel of Jesus Christ! And she just AMAZED us! She told us how she explained to her husband that she wanted to be baptized, and then he said he would come to church with her! SO! MIRACLE!!!! AMY CAME TO CHURCH WITH HER WHOLE FAMILY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Highlight of my week for sure! It was amazing! We also got to meet with T. and S! They are seriously GOLDEN!!! Please pray for them! They are going through some difficult times! They are just such beautiful people! T (the mom) came to church! S. will come next week but she had work this Sunday. T. was like... I have been to so many churches... but this one is the BEST! And I was like YA LAH!!!!!!!! <3 It was really good to have her come to church! And our branch is AMAZING! They did a rockin job at fellow shipping all of our investigators! We were so proud of them!

It’s weird cause now that summer is over; there are a TON of x pat families back from America so it was weird to see little white kids running around! hahaha I gave them all stickers and they loved it!!! :) Yup! I’m totes a sister missionary! And I love it! This week was really good! We have made a lot of amazing plans for each of our investigators and are really excited to see how they all keep progressing! God is really blessing each of our investigators with so much! We are grateful to be a part of it! :) Gospel is true!!!! As I have been studying more about the life and teachings of Jesus Christ and his apostles, I really feel like I have learned a lot more about my savior Jesus Christ.. Who he was.. Who he is... and why he did what he did! And I testify that HE LIVES! He LOVES us... and it is because of HIM that we too can live again! I know that if we strive to become as he is.... we will see him as he is... and one day when we will be as he is! He is our example, he is our friend... he is our Brother... he is our REDEEMER! I love you all so much! Keep on keeping on!!! <3

HI FAMILY!!!! <3Also FRIENDS!!!! :)

How is everyone??!!! Hope you have had an AWESOME week! We did!!!!!!!!!! #MIRACLES it's the best!!! So this past week was crazy! I was sick again! :( out for quite a few days! BUT! It was so cool, we saw miracles literally every day! on Tuesday after we had district meeting we were going to eat lunch... and a girl about my age came up to us and said "I want to join your church... can I have your card??" we were like umm BOLEH!!!!! hahah so we gave her our card... and later ran into her at the LRT (train station) and we started talking to her about how she knew missionaries, her religious background... etc! We got her phone number and several days later we met with her (S), her mom (T), and her brother (S)!

They are the most prepared people I have EVER met!!!!! You want to know what they said to us... "Sisters, we want to be baptized…" within the first 5 min. of meeting with them! I have never cried in an opening prayer... but then the spirit was so strong! These are the most humble people! They were living in JB and the husband ran off with a woman taking everything! And now they are here, and I pray for them! WE love them sooooo much! Miracle #1!

Anther miracle is our lesson that we had with A. Oh my goodness she is SOOO awesome! We taught her about the gospel of Jesus Christ and committed her to work toward a baptismal date! Dec. 6th (same as J... they are best friends and practically twins, haha) so we are really excited with the progress that is happening with all of the investigators
we are working with! God is blessing us every single day! :) We are noticing more and more opportunities to share the gospel with people who are interested as we are going to different appointments... it's AMAZNG! The Lords hand is in this area, and we are having Faith and really praying!!! The Lords work is the BEST!!!!!!!

We hoped that 6 investigators would attend church... but several unfortunate events happened with our investigators and we didn't think that any of them would come :( BUT! Another miracle!!! AMY CAME!!!! With her TWO DAUGHTERS!!! It was the best feeling when she walked through the doors... and both of her children (Nicole and Jeanne) came and loved primary! They are the CUTEST!!! Church was so good! As always! It really made me grateful for the things I have learned through my life but especially on my mission! I’m so grateful to have learned how to make Christ my center! <3

We went to the new senior couple (Elder and Sister Hadley) home for dinner on Sunday! And it was SO FUN!!! They are the sweetest, and told us all about their life and how they met, and they are just the Best! They had a student manual for the New Testament at their house and let me take it!!! I was SOOO grateful! I have really been wanting to study the bible and understand it better! So I have been obsessed with reading the new testament, and feel like I’m really gaining a better understanding of my savior Jesus Christ... who he was... who he is... what he did... and how I can become like him! I'm really grateful for the scriptures! They teach us so much and give us the exact way to follow Jesus Christ and return to our Heavenly Father!

Well family! Miracles happen... God LOVES us! He is aware of each of us and I’m so grateful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ! I know without a doubt that this church is TRUE! I know that prayer works... God hears us... He answers us! I know that my redeemer lives!

I LOVE YOU!!!! Keep on keeping on <3
